What information do I need to start a fully custom shoe?
A sketch, photo, reference shoe or even a mood board is enough to begin, plus your target price range and estimated order quantity. Our designers fill in the technical details — CAD, patterns, BOM and material list. Professional tech packs accelerate the process but are not required for custom development.
How much do custom lasts and outsole molds cost?
Lasts typically run USD 80-200 per size set and a new rubber or EVA outsole mold generally costs USD 500-2,500 depending on size, cavities and detail level. Tooling is quoted before development, paid once, remains your property and is amortized across future reorders at no repeat cost.
How long does custom shoe development take?
CAD and 3D work takes about 5-7 days. New tooling takes 7-10 days, and the first prototype is delivered 7-15 days after tooling confirmation. Most customers approve custom shoes over two or three sample rounds, meaning a fully custom line is ready for bulk in roughly 4-6 weeks.
Can you develop custom performance or orthopedic features?
Yes. We develop dual-density cushioning, TPU stability shanks, arch-support footbeds, wide-width and removable-insole constructions, slip-resistant compounds, and steel or composite toe caps with puncture-resistant plates for safety styles, supported by lab testing where required.
What is the MOQ for a fully custom shoe?
Custom OEM production starts at 300 pairs per style, split across two or three colors. Styles sharing the same tooling can be combined to meet the MOQ. Once your molds are in house, repeat orders are flexible and small seasonal restorders can be planned through our Low MOQ service.
Will my custom design stay exclusive to my brand?
Yes. We work under NDA, your tooling is coded and stored separately, and your patterns, samples and artwork are never shown to other buyers or used for other production. Exclusive mold ownership means the same sole unit cannot legally be produced for anyone else at our factory.
